I started training in Muay Thai and Kempo Karate in 2001 for health and fitness. I am a 3rd degree black belt in Kempo Karate and have been teaching both disciplines since 2008. I fell in love with martial arts because of the technical aspects and the strong sense of community that came with training. In 2010 I competed in a couple amateur fights, but quickly learned that I loved teaching the art more than being a competitor.
I have worked with levels ranging from beginners to advanced. I have spent the last decade perfecting my teaching to be applicable for all experience levels. As an instructor and lifelong student, it is my goal to cultivate a strong sense of community, creating a safe space for those who are working towards similar goals to constantly improve themselves.
